The Commit

Oregon State

“I chose Oregon State because of the new coaching staff. I have always loved the campus as well, but as soon as I talked to the new coaches, I was sold. I love the vision they have for building the team.”

“Building a great team while developing great men on a foundation of doing the right thing.”

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to wrestle for Oregon State.”

The First

“It’s an honor; it is a big step for me and the program to start keeping more in-state wrestlers.”

The Staff

“Every single coach on the staff is extremely motivated and excited. They all have the same vision for the program and put an emphasis on being a good person over everything. They all have great credentials as well!”

The Others

Arizona State, Little Rock, The Citadel Wisconsin

The Keys

“I wanted to go Division 1. I looked for college towns that are centered around the school, such as Oregon State. I also wanted to have a good team dynamic and atmosphere. And the last thing on my checklist was good coaches that I could learn a lot from.”

“Corvallis was voted best college town in the PAC12 as well.”

The Division (D1)

“It has been a goal and dream of mine since I was really little.”

The Fit

“A determined, excited, motivated team player with big goals.

An honest and responsible kid looking to constantly improve on becoming a better person while having fun.”

“Exciting wrestling with lots of riding time and pins!”

“I see myself at 125 or 133 or wherever the coaches need me.

I know there are a lot of great kids at those weights at Oregon State, so I am very flexible to help the team.”

The Now

“I need to work on my chain wrestling and refining techniques. I also am going to work on increasing my attack rate.”

“Win another state title and to end the season undefeated.”

The Future

“A National Champion and an All-American. I want to be a leader for our team as I get older to help Oregon State become a top team in the nation.”

“I gave everything I had and had a great time doing it.”

The Message

“Amazing up and coming program with world-class coaches. Beautiful campus along with the best college town in the PAC12.”

The Fun Fact

Greco is, by far, my favorite style.”

“Well, I’ve had a size 11 shoe since I was a 90-pound freshman, so I am very well balanced, and that is a lot of Greco. And I love to do big throws.”

I plan on taking every opportunity to wrestle Greco or any other style until I’m super old.”
