The Commit
Air Force

“I love everything about the Academy and what they’re about. I know that by going to Air Force, I will be receiving a top-notch education.

Plus, I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve my country.

I feel a connection to the coaches there. I really feel like Air Force will have a great program in the future, and I want to be a part of that.”

The Academy is about discipline, integrity, and, most importantly, selflessness. You have to learn to put others and your country before you to be able to serve with the best of your ability.”

The Service
“I believe we have the greatest country in the world where everyone has the freedom to be anything they want. To know I had a part in protecting the people of our nation and their freedoms, I believe, is one of the greatest things someone can do.”

The Others
Maryland, Maryville, North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Stanford, Wyoming

The Division
“It’s always been my dream to go D1. So I really only considered the Division 1 schools unless a D2 could give me a great offer.”

The Keys
“Well, I was looking at scholarships. How much money do I have to pay at other colleges because Air Force I don’t have to.

Also, the coaches and their style.

I thought Air Force was a good fit for my character and style of wrestling.”

The Fit
“Someone who works with all he’s got to be great; that pushes his teammates and himself to be the best version of themselves they can be.

Growing up, my dad always taught hard work beats talent. I wasn’t the most athletic kid growing up. But I worked my butt off to be successful.”

“I’m going to start out at 157 and maybe just see how my weight ends up throughout the year.

I will be going to the prep school.”

The Now
“Handfighting mostly [work on].”

“Winning state and placing at some national tourneys.”

“Well, I’ve won State twice now, so definitely expect that third. But I want to score bonus points for my team because we have a real chance at a State title.”

The Future
“Freshman year will probably be a redshirt. But after that, I want to start varsity and become an All-American.”

“I accomplished my goals and became a better man along the way.”

The Message
“They seem to be an amazing program with awesome opportunities. The coaches seem to be great guys, and they’re an up and coming program.”

The Fun Fact
I love being outdoors, so Colorado Springs will be a great fit.”
